| Awaiting Image | Squier J-5 Telecaster
Squier J5 Artist Series Telecaster Black RW This latest edition from Squier is a double bound beauty based on his ever evolvingfrequently modded work horse of a Telecaster pieced together by the folks at the one and only Fender Custom Shop. Features include his distinctive black and chrome look - an Alder body finished in gloss black, 22 fret maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and black painted head cap, a striking polished stainless steel pickguard and chrome hardware. Operate the custom designed humbucking pickups via a unique dual volume set up with the bridge pickup control in the front position and the neck pickup control in the back position – John prefers this set up as he spends a majority of time giving the bridge pickup a workout. In addition, via rapid movement of the three-way toggle switch between positions, that signature “kill” effect can be obtained by turning off the neck pickup volume and leaving the bridge control full up! £345
| Danelectro 59DC-12 12 String Electric Guitar
The Danelectro 59-12 12-string is a seriously fun electric guitar with swingin' 50s style! The 59 Danelectro 12-string reissue electric guitar is based on a guitar first released in 1959 and sold through the mid-'60s. Just because this guitar is inexpensive and a bit wierd looking' doesn't mean the Danelectro 59 is not a serious instrument. The 59 Danelectro 12-string guitar features professional-level playability, intonation, and electronics with twin lipstick single-coil alnico-powered pickups, 3-way toggle switching, die cast tuners, and master volume and tone controls . The Danelectro 59 12-string's nut is made of aluminum and contributes to the twanginess and uniqueness of tone that the Danelectro guitar's were known for. In addition to sitting in a nut slot, the nut itself is screwed into the top edge of the fingerboard. The 59 Danelectro 12-string is a guitar that will withstand the gigging-life and be instantly recognized by vetran musos thanks to high profile usage by the likes of Jimmy Page in Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd's Syd Barrett. Why are they called "lipstick" pickups? Because real lipstick tubes purchased from cosmetics makers were originally used to house the electronics! RRP £329 - Our price only £289
